Continued support of this campaign is shown by partners who adopt the Go ON Give an Hour messages. 

Even if your organisation does just these three things, it could make a huge difference:

  • Use key messages to encourage people to join the UK’s growing network of digital champions at www.go-on.co.uk/champions
  • Highlight how internet beginners can find a local internet taster session by calling freephone 0800 77 1234
  • Post campaign updates on your Facebook pages and on Twitter using the tags #GoON #GiveAnHour, and the short link bit.ly/Give-an-Hour.

Give an Hour in schools

We've created a Give an Hour pack for schools, teachers and parents, stuffed with ideas and info on how to get behind the campaign.  This includes:

  • Key messages for schools
  • Top Give an hour tips for children
  • A letter to Head teachers from Martha outlining how and why schools can get involved
  • An introduction to Give an hour for teachers
  • A letter introducing Give an hour for parents
  • Give an Hour assembly presentation

Great support pledged to date

Running from 22 October - 12 November, the frst phase of the Go ON Give an Hour campaign delivered an estimated:

  • ""

    60 hours of Give an Hour content delivered across 40 BBC local radio stations and in the nations

  • 9.25M national and regional print opportunities to see (please see PR annex)
  • 50k people get to grips with the web at Go ON events supported by UK online centres
