Becoming a Race Online 2012 Official Partner is easy. Any organisation of any size can make a contribution. If your organisation can make a promise, no matter how small, to help the 10 million offline people in the UK, then you can become a partner. Or if you are already actively involved in supporting others to use the internet, then you can sign up too. Not an organisation? Why not join us as an advocate?

How You Will Be Helping
The social and moral case
- The way citizens and government interact will change, helping reduce social exclusion.
- There will be more opportunities for education, employment and training.
- Socially and economically excluded people will have increased access to the support and services they need.
- Vulnerable people will become less isolated and better connected to the help they need.
- Society will be transformed by creating a digital UK and helping everyone who wants to get online to do so.
The economic case
- Our citizens and UK Plc will have a competitive advantage in the global knowledge economy.
- The UK economy benefits to the tune of an estimated £22 billion.
- Government services could save £900m annually, if all people currently both digitally and socially excluded were to move just one government contact a month online.
- The 20% lowest income households would benefit from more than £1bn of savings from shopping and paying bills online.
Why get involved?
It makes financial sense

It’s an HR opportunity
- Become a responsible, sought after employer by creating opportunities for staff development, training or volunteering.
